For many years Lerici has been awarded the prestigious “Blue Flag” and “Four Sails” "Legambiente" achievements. Lerici also means nature; infact it stands within Montemarcello's natural park, a wide protected area dominated by our mediterranean scrub.

San Terenzo, with its appealing location, where the sea and its beaches come as a whole together with its houses, has kept its original ligurian outlook throughout the years.The castle lies on the eastern side: a squared fort dating late medioeval period being built at the top of a knoll.

Tellaro, ancient and evocative village right by the sea, probably of Etruscan origin, just 3 km. away from Lerici, hosts the typical little square renowned for hanging out around which many shops gather too and the historical centre which clings entirely onto the rock.

A territory where the sea and the land join to create a unique and fascinating scenario. Eighteen kilometers of rocky cliffs, beaches and deep seabeds, dominated by a mountain chain running parallel to the coast.

Portovenere, declared to be a UNESCO heritage site because of its unique blend of natural beauty and historical value, with its picturesque multi coloured little houses attached to one another, is a little gem in the middle of the sea, located at the far end of The Gulf of La Spezia.

Sarzana stands a few kilometers away from the estuary of the river Magra, at the foot of Sarzanello's hill. At the heart of its historical centre, next to Saint Andrew's church, traces of the ancient "Roman Castrum" are still visible.

La Spezia stretches along a string of land wrapped up between its gorgeous sea and its outstanding mountains, that is why many districts stand on the hillside.

From Albergo Serena you can set off to discover the most hidden places, those least frequented by tourists, like the ancient villages on the border between Liguria and Tuscany or immerse yourself in the green of the Apuan Alps.
